Second Street Planning Project Steering Committee

Meeting called to order at 6:30pm.

Present: Sean Allen, Chris Batchelder, Marcia Marcoux, Richard Freese, Doug Knott, Jose Rivas, Karel Weigel, Geoff Martin, Charlie Quigg, Jeff Ellerbusch, Tammy Greenwood, Brad Lahr, Steve Thornton, Chris Flood

Members Absent: Dave Edmonson, Dennis Cowley, John Slack, Jeff Ellerbusch, Amy Blenker, Phil Wheeler.

Martin began discussion of meeting purpose, schedule and process.

Committee discussed the suggested changes to the framework plan. Freese suggested that the committee adopt a more general concept plan-specifically in regard to the location of the 9th Ave pedestrian connection and the 12th Ave intersection and pedestrian amenities. The committee agreed.

Discussion ensued regarding the upcoming presentations to the Rochester Planning and Zoning Commission and the Rochester City Council. Foundation staff stated that the presentations would cover the genesis and purpose of the project, review the draft recommendations and suggest some of the possible actions required of them for the successful implementation of the plan.
